You will need:

Start with the strip of brown paper cut from a paper bag, if you can get it, or brown kraft paper if you can’t find any bags.

Fold top over 2″ inches as shown in the picture.

Punch a hole in the center of the folded portion.

Using Higgins Waterproof Black India Ink write the main text of prose. Then using acrylic vermillion write your highlighted initial or word. If you have a chop (an East Asian seal used in lieu of a signature) feel free to use it. It adds a nice oriental flair to the weathergram.

Attach the sisal twine through the hole and knot it.

Now your weathergram is complete. You can either enjoy it as it is or as Lloyd Reynolds suggested, attach it to a tree and let the elements finish the job for you.
